Rosh Hodesh Women's Group

Rosh Hodesh, the Hebrew phrase for new month or head of month, is a program that started many moons ago for women to come together and relax, discover new ideas or old ones, and be in a space with other women. There is an organization that hosts Rosh Hodesh groups for 8th-12th grade young women across the nation as well.

Rosh Chodesh groups originated in the 1970s and 1980s as a response to the feminist movement and the desire for Jewish women to reclaim their spiritual and ritual practices. These early groups were often informal, meeting in members’ homes or community centers. The connection of Rosh Hodesh and Women has been found in the way the moon cycle and a woman's cycle are similar. Phases of the moon and phases of womanhood.

We will be hosting a meeting once a month oon or as close to the new moon as possible. Dates are on the flyer to the right. To sign up for the meetings, please fill out this form https://forms.gle/W4HRxNSAayyz3FjL7
