5 multi-generational, Experiential Learning Projects

1) Candle making Sunday Nov. 16 @ 1pm: 3 levels of difficulty -1-rolling candles from beeswax, 2-painting white candles with melted wax, 3-hand-dipping candles in melted wax

2) Challah baking intermediate level Mar. 12th evening: Using pre-made dough, we will be learning difficult braiding techniques, how to add fill-ins to your braiding strands, how to make designs/art out of your challah (schlissel, trees, turkeys, flags, stars, rainbows, etc.), and how to make different flavors of dough.

3) Wine tasting for adults + grape juice making for kids Jan. 18th afternoon: Adults go to Tierra Sur kosher restaurant at the Baron Herzog winery for wine tasting and a fixed price 5 star dinner. 3 course meal: Salad or soup, Fish, chicken, steak or veggie, 2 dessert choices

Kids go to TRZ where they make grape juice by crushing grapes, and other activities

4) Chili Cook Off Feb. 8th 1:00pm: 6-10 teams cook chili at TRZ during the week. Taste test and voting on Sunday

5) Spice smelling contest and challah cover making May 3  @ 1pm: Blind smell contest of various herbs and spices and Silk painting of challah covers.
